“It’s a joy to be hidden and a disaster not to be found.”
-Donald Winnicott
The cedar tree grows in certain parts of the world. It’s known for its majestic presence, symbolizes strength, resilience, and thrives in rugged mountainous regions. Some cultures hold it in high regard as a spiritual protector, a bringer of fortune to communities, and a valuable tree for various practical purposes.
Much like the cedar tree, humans find themselves surviving harsh conditions without knowing why or how they arrived there. At Three Cedar Trees, therapy begins with a lingering curiosity to know oneself and experiences more deeply. My work with you as a psychodynamic therapist is to help you understand the meaning of your experiences, foster hope for the future, and build resilience in your life.
